October Learning Themes

We have an exciting month ahead!

In the spirit of connection, we’d like to share our upcoming weekly themes for this and each month moving forward.

We hope this promotes at-home conversation about what your little one is learning at school and a chance for you to check in with our team about any lessons you may want to know more about. (Please feel free to ask questions or share feedback by commenting on this post!)

Each week will contain a variety of activities targeting all major developmental domains, centered around the listed concepts. Of course, activities and group discussions will be modified for each age group.

We’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors as we focus on observing change around us- the growth in our garden, the weather, the drying leaves and the dark of the evening coming sooner and sooner each day. We’ll learn how to track these changes by documenting our observations with art, simple graphs and charts, learning sequence and gaining a better understanding of time.

We close the month with Halloween at school and our Día de Muertos dinner party on Saturday, November 2nd (don’t forget to RSVP!). Fun times ahead and we’re happy to share them with your child!

Let me know if you want to try to set up that camera trap to see nocturnal animals?
