First, please know — we completely understand how frustrating that can be. And we promise, it’s not because we’re being dismissive!

The Homegrown School is a small, founder-operated program built on personal connection. Every email, every meal, every animal interaction and every daily meeting is handled directly by us — the founders — because that’s what makes Homegrown special. We don’t have a receptionist, social media manager, or dedicated admin staff. We are the Administrative Department, the Directors, the caregivers, and the animal tenders. We’re also mothers, partners, and community members who pour our hearts into this work each day.

Homegrown is an extension of our family, and our focus will always be on the children currently in our care.

While we wish we could personally connect with every prospective family right away, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to respond to every inquiry as quickly as we’d like. But please know — your interest means the world to us!

Why We Operate This Way

We believe that every family deserves to learn about Homegrown directly from its founders — the people who know the program best. This approach allows us to ensure a great fit based on your child’s needs and what our program can offer at that time.

As parents ourselves, we know how important authentic communication is. In our own experiences, we often found that directors were too busy touring and answering phones to truly engage with the children in their care. We wanted to build something different — a school where directors are present, where we know each child personally, and where families receive firsthand insight into their child’s growth and development.

Once enrolled, families receive individualized developmental assessments and ongoing, open communication. We view ourselves as partners in your child’s growth — and every single child enrolled at Homegrown is that important to us.
